  • CONTENT CREATOR (M/V/X)

    Are you a creative jack-of-all-trades who can both write strong texts and pop visually? Do you have a passion for design and would you like to contribute to the digital image of Design Museum Gent? Then we are looking for you as a Freelance Content Creator!

    What will you do?

    As a Freelance Content Creator, you will work 1 to 2 days a week on our digital content strategy, from 13 January to 27 June 2025. You know how to tell stories that appeal and can turn ideas into catchy photos and videos. Together with our team, you will ensure that the message of Design Museum Gent is conveyed in an inspiring way.

    Your tasks include:

    • Motion design: developing simple animations and short videos for social media.
    • Graphic design: creating visuals that match the museum's house style, from temporary stories to posts with impact.
    • Filming of events, workshops, exhibitions and others.
    • Content planning: supporting the creation of content calendars and brainstorming creative ideas with our team.
    • Copywriting: writing short and long texts for our website, social media and newsletters.

    Who are you?

    • You are an experienced freelancer with a background in copywriting, graphic design and/or motion design.
    • You work fluently with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and preferably also with After Effects or Premiere Pro.
    • You have a strong sense of storytelling and know how to create content that fits our audience.
    • You are flexible, thoughtful and work independently, but you can also easily collaborate with the team.
    • Experience in the culture or design sector is a plus.

  • INTERN COMMUNICATION (M/V/X)

    Are you an enthusiastic and creative student with a passion for text, images and movement? Do you have an eye for detail and are you curious to work in the cultural sector? Then you might be the Communication intern we are looking for!

    What will you do?

    As a Communication Trainee, you will support our team with various tasks that contribute to the external communication of the Design Museum Ghent. You will have the opportunity to participate in writing and disseminating our stories, mainly online, and you will help strengthen the museum's brand identity.

    Your tasks include:

    • Content creation: Writing engaging and informative texts for our website, social media and newsletters. You will ensure that everything fits our house style and appeals to our audience.
    • Graphic design: Creating visuals that support our message, from stories to posts that catch the eye.
    • Motion design: Develop simple animations and short videos for social media, to make our content dynamic and lively.
    • Social media content: helping to create and manage content calendars for social media channels and brainstorming creative communication ideas.
    • SEO and website content: Writing texts with an eye for SEO and helping to keep our website up-to-date.
    • Event communication: Assist with event promotion and create communication materials for openings, press moments and activities.
    • Community management: help respond to posts and build interaction with followers and partners on social media.


    Who are you?

    • You are majoring in communications, marketing, journalism or a similar field.
    • You are a fluent writer and can communicate clearly and engagingly.
    • You have an affinity for social media and know how to use different platforms professionally.
    • Basic knowledge of graphic tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign is a plus, as is experience with video-editing software.
    • You are eager to learn, creative, and enjoy taking initiative.
    • An interest in design, art or the cultural sector is an added bonus.
