Unfold BE

porcelain (3D print)

collectie Design Museum Gent

Claire Warnier and Dries Verbruggen, together Unfold, have developed a technique for printing porcelain clay in 3D. The forms that they create in this way are then fired according to a traditional method. The clay contains kaolin, which preserves the white colour during the firing.
Artefacts of a New History
is a collection box with nine different, complex 3D prints in porcelain. They are reminiscent of the kinds of objects that you might find in a natural history museum, but on closer inspection you can see how technical they are.
