Morten Klitgaard is primarily interested in shape and texture. He blows objects from glass, the surface of which he treats with all kinds of experimental techniques. For example, he applies glaze-like layers consisting of bubbles that burst during the process. This gives the work a very porous surface and makes it more fragile. The specific colour of the patina is created by the reaction of oxides with the metal pigments in the glass.
