Conversation-conservation

This exhibition is the result of collaboration between Matali Crasset (F) and Frank Van Houtte (B).Conversation - Conservationis a dialogue between two different characters based purely on objects of various shapes.The process starts with a box full of basic ceramic shapes (“jeu de construction” by Frank Van Houtte), but despite the absence of colour, they are exciting and entice you to touch them as their finish is incredibly meticulous. Matali Crasset organizes them, classifies them, and adds new elements.In the course of its journey between Ghent and Paris this “box of building blocks” goes through several surprising and unpredictable changes. With this initiative Verzameld Werk continues its VW limited editions. Afterwards, these editions will be put on display on other locations abroad.
