Vol+maakt
sociaal gemaakt
vol+maakt is a Ghent pilot project of Ministry of Makers (Design Platform Ghent region) and the City of Ghent, in which three designers – Valerie Bervoet, Cas Moor and Sep Verboom – and two local integrated employment enterprises – Compaan and Labeur – are combining their passion for ‘making’ to create a special design collection.
Each design object is made with respect for crafts, sustainability, local production and a social context. It is a story of mutual respect, complementary skills and a shared love for natural materials.
Sociaal Gemaakt is a socio-economic co-creation project. Its aim is to establish a sustainable collaboration between the social and regular economy.
