Mutation Festival: Workshop Lost in Diffusion

Dive into a world of artificial intelligence and creativity during the Lost in Diffusion workshop at Mutation Festival!

Artist and coder Kasper Jordaens was commissioned by Design Museum Gent to develop a diffusion model (AI) using the museum's available collection data and images. This model makes it possible to generate new descriptions of existing objects, but also to create new, ‘non-existent’ design objects with corresponding description.

During the workshop, we will use this data and the model to generate live visuals, reproductions of objects from the museum's collection, using P5.js, a software tool for creative coding and creating live visuals.

Whether you are tech-enthusiast, creative or simply curious about the possibilities of AI, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to think together about new interactions with museum collections.
