Duo seat + lamp was presented in September 2011 during Design Brussels. The piece consists of two connected seats of lacquered steel, to which natural leather is attached. The rectangular shape of the frame contrasts with the curve created by the leather. The rear rail of one of the seats simultaneously functions as an armrest for the other seat. The piece is made with round steel profiles, rather than square or L-shaped profiles as in previous series, the reason being that Muller Van Severen wanted to make a seat that was as simple as possible: a piece of leather suspended between two profiles. Duo seat + lamp invites you to sit closely next to each other but without seeing each other.
