Cool Dozen +
The Cool Dozen+ exhibition presents the evolution of Finnish design by way of 13 chairs and 13 textile objects. The evolution comprises work by design icons as well as young designers. Among the “classic” designs are chairs by Alvor Aalto, Yrjö Kukkapuro, Antti Nurmesniemi and Ilmari Tapiovaara. Among the young designers, Teemu Järvi, Harri Koskinen, Antti Kotilainen, Hannu Kähönen, Samuli Naamanka and Mikko Pakkanen were selected.
Some of the textile designers: Iiro A. Ahokas, Maija en Kristina Isola, Maija Louekari, Vuokko Nurmesniemi, Ilkka Suppanen, …
The minimalist presentation is created by the combination of furniture and textile. The fabric creates the surface, the furniture item contributes depth.
