Salad Days #2
DING vitrine
‘Salad Days’ refers to the days of innocence and pleasure of our youth. It may also describe being at the peak of one’s abilities. The term comes from Shakespeare’s play Antony and Cleopatra, Act I Scene 5, where Cleopatra says, “My salad days, When I was green in judgment: cold in blood, To say as I said then!”
Under the title of Salad Days, Design Museum Gent presents once again a selection of graduation projects by students of KASK and LUCA School of Arts Gent. The selected works range from an investigation into the weaving structures and functions of tea towels to climate-friendly furniture constructed from fast-growing, natural materials.
