CO-LAB
Welcome to our collective laboratory. In CO-LAB, a design is never really 'finished'. It is a process that we continue to work on together. In 8 historic period rooms at Hotel De Coninck, we explore the relationship between design, social engagement and collective production processes.
New dreams in historic rooms
Designers, researchers and local communities join forces on 7 groundbreaking projects. From queer archiving to ecological co-creation and from low-tech energy solutions to open-source tools. CO-LAB will be a place in the museum where diverse voices come together.
Design as dialogue
Every voice is equally important in this lab. We show that design is not just an end product but a shared process. Materials and stories come back in new forms, and the diverse voices help shape the future of the city.
Step inside, think along and discover what the city of tomorrow could look like.
