Pop-up postcard store
In the DING Vitrine, you can buy original postcards, discover new designers and surprise your loved ones. All cards in the pop-up shop cost 2 euros/piece. Buy 3 cards and only pay 5 euros. With every purchase, you make sure that elderly people with a small social circle are not forgotten during the upcoming festive period.
The postcards offer something for everyone. 12 designers created 1 postcard each for the holidays at the museum’s request: Atelier Brenda, Sara De Bondt, Theo De Meyer x Stefanie Everaert, Olivier Goethals, Benjamin Mengistu Navet, Thomas Renwart, Klaas Rommelaere, Shervin/e Sheikh Rezaei, Clara Spilliaert, Bram Vanderbeke, Dieter Durinck en Stan Van Rompaey.
A selection of billboards on the side wall of Design Museum Gent in Drabstraat will also be preserved in postcards.
Collections of Ghent brings heritage objects to life, or, in this case, to postcards. Go for playful celebrations using surprising objects from Design Museum Gent’s collection. From seasons greetings with salt and pepper to a smooth New Year with an iron.
Given that not everyone is lucky enough to get a handwritten greeting card during the holidays, we are also providing a letter writing campaign in collaboration with residential care centre Domino.

- write your wishes on it to an anonymous Domino resident
- throw your card in the mailbag
- Domino will distribute them among the residents
- 1 euro per card written is donated to De Armste Week
