Public Matter(s): Design and Democracy
Toolkit and free visit
Prefer to take your class through the temporary exhibition yourself? With our digital toolkit, you are the guide. Not an ordinary bundle, but a collection of active assignments that will really get your students thinking.
You challenge your students to take a critical look at the exhibition, and enter into dialogue with each other. Why do our voting booths look the way they do? Or how can one poster trigger an entire revolution?
By observing for themselves and discussing, students discover the hidden stories behind an object's design. It becomes clear that design not only colours the world but also changes it. It is a reality check that takes them out of the role of spectator and shows them that they have the creative power to be part of the decisions about the world we live in.
The toolkit will be available once the museum reopens.
