Get out of the classroom and into the streets of Ghent! On this interactive walk, your students will discover that design is much more than a beautiful object. We hit the road and meet designers who don't just accept the world as it is, but actively try to redesign it. How are they responding to today's social challenges?
The guide challenges the class to look at the environment with a critical eye, surprising students along the way with mysterious objects that spark dialogue. How do they view the world and what role can design play in their future? We will reflect on the power of design and look at concrete examples of urban mining, fair fashion, inclusion and reuse.
This walk was developed with the students of Kunsthumaniora Sint-Lucas Ghent. A guided tour by young people, for young people.
